Quoting Wulfric:
So I received this standard canned response from GothicMatch saying I should post something in the forum for Sharing Dating Advice and Safety Tips. Although it's good to know my responses are being received, I find it funny because I'm the absolute worst person to ask about dating advice! How the H-E-double hockey sticks would I know about dating? I'm recently single. I'm trying to get back in the dating scene. I'm the one who NEEDS advice! Okay, so not to be daunted by a task, here goes, for what it's worth: Pay attention. Listen. Be interested. Be interesting. Don't be someone you're not. Be honest. Have a backup plan in mind. Laugh. Be gentle. And if that doesn't work... there's probably not going to be a second date so don't waste each other's time. That's about all I can say on that. And you better believe I follow my own advice. I hate being hypocritical about anything, and if I realize I AM being hypocritical, I'll admit to it. As far as safety tips go, well that's easy too. Just be aware of your surroundings and trust your gut. If it tells you something isn't right, get the heck outta Dodge. I haven't used a soapbox in awhile so I'm not really sure if this one counts, but just in case, let me dust this rickety thing off. I have a soapbox and I'm not afraid to use it! -W
